Cemetery Advisory Board applications available through Dec. 8

AUBURN, Ala.- The Auburn City Council is accepting applications to fill two vacancies on the Cemetery Advisory Board. The terms will begin Jan. 1, 2026, and end Dec. 31, 2030.
The Cemetery Advisory Board gives recommendations to the Parks and Recreation director, the city manager, the mayor and the governing body in regards to ownership, regulation and maintenance of all cemeteries owned by the City. The board consists of five members who serve four-year terms.
Members are not eligible for appointment or election to any other board created by ordinance of the City, and City employees are not eligible to serve on the board. The board meets the first Monday of each month at 4 p.m. at the Harris Center, 425 Perry St.
Those interested in serving are invited to apply online using the link at auburnal.gov/boards. Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Dec. 8. The City Council will make appointments at its Dec. 16 meeting.
